Pre-AI ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that filters AI-related content from your LinkedIn feed. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, use, and share — which is none.

Data Collection

Pre-AI does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. Specifically:

• We do not collect personally identifiable information
• We do not collect browsing history or web activity
• We do not collect the content of your LinkedIn feed
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
• We do not use analytics or telemetry
• We do not transmit any data to external servers

How the Extension Works

Pre-AI operates entirely within your browser. It reads the text content of posts in your LinkedIn feed locally on your device, classifies them using keyword matching, and applies visibility filters based on your selected mode. All processing happens client-side. No data ever leaves your browser.

Local Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's local storage API solely to remember your selected filter mode preference (Pre-AI, All, or AI Only) between browsing sessions. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.

Third-Party Services

Pre-AI does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, APIs, or servers.

Email Newsletter

If you voluntarily provide your email address through our website (pre-ai.netlify.app) to join our mailing list, your email is stored by our email service provider (Resend) for the sole purpose of sending you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. This is entirely separate from the Extension, which collects no data.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following browser permissions:

• Host permission (www.linkedin.com): Required to inject the content script that reads and filters feed posts. The Extension only runs on LinkedIn.
• Storage: Required to save your filter mode preference locally.
• ActiveTab: Required to access the current LinkedIn tab's content for filtering.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new date. Given that we collect no data, material changes are unlikely.
